Today, I was truly so proud of our country and had so many emotions it was hard to focus. History was made, and what a blessing it has been to travel down this path with Obama and see him become President. A positive black man running our country, a role model for all races. I couldn’t even hold back my tears on air tonight.History has been made, and I truly believe change will come. Nov 4, 2008……put in down in the books!! I am so proud right now of Americans and to be a part of this country, I can’t even tell you the feeling that I feel…but maybe you feel it too!! I am ready for a change…..so here we go!!

BADLY!!!! This weekend, my brother and his wife were in town, so we decided to check out SAW V. Something deep in my heart told me it was gonna be dumb…but i didn’t listen to my heart, and went…lol. Well it was pretty much a waste of my life and time, and why did i think it was gonna be different? The best part was near the end when they had their final “game” to play and the effect on their hands after they sawed em off were pretty cool..and that’s pretty much the highlight of the movie..HAHA. I wish I could tell you more other than it was dumb..but really that’s all I got.Sunday, we had family game night at my parents house. Now, our family is extremely competitive..and I just can’t figure out how our 83 year old grandma always ends up winning, even when me and my brother try to cheat..lol.Cheaters never win I guess, but we come pretty dang close! I came into work on Sunday night, and that’s pretty much my whole weekend. It was fun! My schedule doesn’t allow me to see my family a lot, so when I do get time, I really cherish it…TONS!! I am so mad about Saw V, I am now finished with this blog..because the memories of the movie keep poppin in, and I can’t even focus…I am outtie!

o this weekend i got to visit my family in Seattle, and had a blast!! The pass, thank god was clear and gorgeous. Last time i drove over that thing it was raining, and cold and i couldn’t see and people were driving like weirdos. The annoying thing was that my windshield wiper broke on my way there, and kept flappin against my window the whole time, so it woulda been devastating if it rained..but it didn’t..praise his name!! lol. Oh my goodness, than of course i had some bladder issues..lol..and had to go not once but twice, and used rest stops. Ok, let me make this clear…rest stops are sooo sick. They are so gross, and one of them had this powder soap, that caused this weird rash like thing on my left wrist. Sick, if it don’t clear up like NOW .i am going to the doctor. Cause an allergic reaction to rest stop powder soap is not a good look. And it is soo gross when people poop in rest stops..that smell makes me get the gag reaction..my eyes tear up, and i literally wanna throw up, but u know..u gotta go when u gotta go i guess..lol…double up on the toilet cover..that’s all i can advice. Oh i have to not think about it, i am getting restless thinking about it. LOL..other than that..the trip went great, my family was great, got a nice home cooked meal..lol..It’s not that i CAN’T cook, it’s just that I DON’T cook..huge difference! Than last night i drove into town, and came back to work. End of story!! bye!!

Ok, when I think of Gonzaga…… I think basketball, a very friendly college, and that’s its a very safe campus….I definitely don’t think of shootings nor robberies….. But guys, make sure you are aware of surroundings…I mean I know that sounds very “cliche” to say, but this article from KXLY.com really creeps me out!! Especially since we all tend to hit up the Safeway near the campus for late night grocery shopping….here’s the article.SPOKANE — A $1,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the men who have been terrorizing Spokane’s Logan neighborhood at gunpoint recently.
Since March Gonzaga University students have been robbed and shot at in three attacks since last March.
“They started coming at me, first at a walk then jog and then they started sprinting at me,” Gonzaga senior Kyle Craig said.
Craig was nearly killed last month while walking to a friend’s house. He says he asked three unknown men what they were doing running down the street when they started chasing him.
“Once I saw them sprinting at me then I started running to my friend’s house,” Craig said.
Craig says he barely made it inside.
“As soon as I shut the door, they shot a shotgun right through glass door, glass sprayed my right arm,” he said.
“If I walked in door like I normally would I would have been shot. I hit the deck and army crawled to a room safer, wasn’t sure they were going to come in or what was going to happen,” Craig added.
The three armed men left and now Spokane police believe the same men are responsible for two other recent attacks with a shotgun.
The first incident happened back in March when students walking down Mission were robbed by three men who had a baseball bat and a shotgun. The second attack happened against Craig last month and the most recent attack happened just a few weeks ago.
In the most recent attack three students were walking home here along Nora when they were jumped by three men who were wearing hooded sweatshirts and carrying a shotgun. The suspects forced the students to the ground and stole their wallets and purses
Craig and the other victims didn’t get a good look at the suspects so police hope someone who knows them will turn them in for the reward.
If you know anything about these suspects call Crime Stoppers at 327-5111. You don’t have to leave your name to collect the reward.

There was an interesting article I read on KXLY.com. Here’s the gist of the article : Some neighbors in a Spokane Valley neighborhood are upset because a home for recovering drug and alcohol addicts is being established near their homes. Those that support the recovery house say that these people are working hard to recover from their addictions and are just living their lives like any other member of the neighborhood. Ok, so I definitely think that these people in the neighborhood should not be upset. That’s one spot you can almost be sure that you won’t find drugs nor alcohol in, or at least know they are trying to lessen it. I actually commend those people for trying to kick their habit and moving on with their daily lives. Some may argue, it’s a bad look for your neighborhood, but hell my neighbors who fight and yell and throw parties every damn night are a bad look !! I am gonna have to support this. Now if it’s a sex offender…HELL NO..whole other topic, but people who quit the bottle or are attempting to quite are making more progress than the majority of people who use and drink everyday.

After arguing with Angela the Midday chick for 2 hours 45 minutes about my outfit ( yes we were in a heated argument that we shoulda recorded and posted on you tube..it was hilarious) , I went out on a pretty casual date with someone recently. It was really nice, and recently read this article, and have to agree with it! Gentlemen, take notes on this :Here are some old-fashioned dating tips from AskMen.com that’ll help you become your date’s knight in shining armor.
* Plan and pay for the evening
* Pick her up
* Treat it like an occasion
* Give her your jacket
* Respect her old-fashioned side
* Follow up
Sooooo in conclusion fellas..don’t be a LAME!! Don’t pick the girl up in another females car, don’t make her pay, and don’t i repeat don’t talk or text on your cell phone the whole time!!! That’s extra LAME!! haha
Here’s some more interesting facts:
Over 65% of women feel that flowers are the most romantic gift to receive, but almost 38% of men have not given them to their significant other in over a year.
A Woman’s Day/AOL survey found 64% of women would rather be with a man who’s poor and attractive than rich and unattractive. I would have to agree with the poor attractive man, although over time the free flights, and shopping spree’s may grow on me. The more I think about it though, a lot of rappers and singers aren’t attractive, but only so due to the fact they rap or sing!! But i guess what it boils down to, is always make sure they respect you….i take that over looks any day!!

The fair is in town, and i haven’t been in yet. I got to go today, for the “Coats for Kids” community event, but never quite made it inside the gates. The fair is lasting through the 14th, and have some interesting events taking place. Raven, yes everyone’s favorite Disney star is gonna be performing Tuesday night. They also have the hypnotist rolling through some nights, and this is definitely on my list of to dos. I don’t know if I believe it, but want to get hypnotized to see if it works..lol..I been hearing some great things about the rides, but you will never catch me on those rides..there is something about them setting them up on the go that really creeps me out. I have a tough enough time riding Silverwood rides, cause i am extremely scared of heights, although i did go to Silverwood yesterday, and went on Panic Plunge. That has got to be the scariest ride I have ever ridder=n in my life!!! Anyhow moral of my story is, i will have to be dared or something to ride the fair rides, but just walking around see all the interesting people will prob be enough entertainment for me. ( I love to people watch) . Here’s more info on the fair:Admission at the Gate is $5.00 for Youth ages 7 to 13, $5.00 Seniors 65 & Over, and $8.00 Adults. The Spokane County Interstate Fairgrounds are located at 404 N Havana.
Fair Hours
* September 5-13: 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
* September 14: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Have fun!!!

HOOPFEST…….This weekend was absolutely amazing.One of the more straight up fun things we have been a part of. Yes, I played on a hoopfest team, and yes our team lost…sad i know..lol. So for a re-cap, started my day off at like 7 am or so on Saturday…on the way to hoopfest almost fought some homeless people who cussed me out for trying to make a right turn. This lady was pissed off..calling me names, because they felt like i blocked the street..things were said, mistakes were made..they tried to throw their shopping cart at me..ladi da…and than i was like i don’t have time for this..i have a game. After our first game, i stayed up in the Wired booth, promoting and meeting and greeting…it was soo hot. I got to meet a ton of listeners.I had another game, played that than hung out more and i left round 5 ish (yes i had a loooong day)…went home got ready for the club. We went to the knitting factory..that was tons of fun. There was too many dudes too pick from..i couldn’t even handle it..lol. Sunday hung out and had a fabulous time clownin with Kelsey and my new youngin..he he. It was fun..besides the bad ass kids, we almost got robbed like twice, by kids scheming on us..trying to keep us occupied while the other kids tried to steal our prizes..it was funny though..in a weird, i have a weird sense of humor type of way!! Sunday night on my way home i had a surprise at my apartment pool…one of my closest friends ever was there just chillen..”like what’s up jackie.” She was there visiting her cousin…than i came to work after that…Whew..when i got home i drank some wine, and hit the sack..i slept like a baby!! It was great…but it feels like i already completed a full week and it’s only Monday..oh well..its a fun, blessed life!!
